Plans to rationalise building will not drive changes to our communications infrastructure.
Our Unified Communications Strategy is currently under discussion.
There is a medium term plan to centralise voice comms at one site, location to be identified. As both switches can talk to each other at present, compatibility is not an issue.
The vast majority of work is done in house and as such is recharged at our standard hourly rate of £15.00 per hour.

The Trust has 4000 connected users, over two sites.
Future voice requirements would be needs led, not software dependent.
The Trust has 1GB provision through the Connection for Health (CfH) Contract.
The Trust’s primary Data Network vendor is C&W, through the CfH Contract.
The Trust does not plan to refresh our Data Network in the next 12 months.
The value of the Trust’s support contract for Data Network is £660,000 over five years.
The Trust does not have any plans to deploy Wireless LAN or a Contact Centre within our current infrastructure.

Audio conferencing is either in house, or via pow-wow now at 6p per minute. Costs per month are not available as it is used intermittently, but do not exceed £100.00 per month.
