Welcome to our Trust 

We are the secondary care provider of acute hospital services in north Cumbria and our services are based at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle and the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven. We also have a birthing centre at Penrith Community Hospital. The Care Quality Commission rated the Trust as 'requires improvement' overall following its latest inspection. Read more here

Thank you for viewing our website. This site aims to provide useful information for our patients, visitors, the general public and staff and potential future employees.

The next meeting of our Trust Board, held in public, will take place on Tuesday 24 May 2016 at 1.00pm in the Board Room at West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven.

Please note that Trust Board meetings are held in public, and are not public meetings. 

Members of the public are invited to ask the Trust Board any questions they may have at the end of the meeting, however questions must be related to items on the agenda. If you would like to submit your question in advance, please contact communications@ncuh.nhs.uk 

Stephen Eames, chief executive, will be holding an open public forum after each Trust Board meeting. Members of the public are invited to ask Mr Eames questions not relating to the Trust Board agenda.
