Atrium in the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle
The Alzheimer’s Society is offering information and advice to carers to coincide with Carers Week 2012 which is running this week. The Society’s information point in the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle has been transformed to focus on carers.
A wide range of information leaflets are available to take away and on Tuesday 26 June, staff from The Alzheimer’s Society will be at the information point from 2-4pm to answer any questions or discuss any concerns carers or friends/relatives of carers may have.
Carers provide unpaid care by looking after an ill or disabled family member, friend or partner. Carers give so much to society yet as a consequence of caring, they experience ill health, poverty and discrimination. The aim of the week is to raise awareness of available resources to carers and how they can access them.
The Alzheimer’s Society information point can be found in the atrium area near the main entrance of the Cumberland Infirmary.
