Chair Gina Tiller

An exciting opportunity has arisen to play a key role in the future of North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust, with vacancies for two non-executive directors to join the Trust board.

This is an exceptional opportunity for two individuals with a genuine commitment to patients and the promotion of excellent health care services to share their talents and expertise to make a positive difference to the lives of people in North Cumbria.

One of the successful candidates will chair the Audit Committee and must have relevant finance experience in a large and complex organisation, plus a financial qualification. The other will join some other sub committees depending on skills and experience.

North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust chair Gina Tiller said: “This is a really exciting time for our Trust as we work hard to overcome the challenges of the past and do all we can to offer our patients the safe, responsive care they deserve. Being a non-executive director is an incredibly rewarding role – helping to shape the Trust’s strategy and vision and holding the organisation to account.

“I am certain our local community has a wealth of talented individuals who would be a huge asset to the Trust and would encourage anyone interested to apply, or get in touch for more information.”

Details of the vacancies and how to apply can be found on the NHS Trust Development Authority website at Completed applications should be emailed  to by 11am on 8 June 2015. Interviews will be held on 25 June 2015.
