Airway Obstruction (chronic, upper airway), Adenoids, Acoustic Neuroma, Anosmia, Aspiration, Bat ear deformity, Branchial Sinus, Catarrh, Cholesteatoma, Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media, Dizziness, Dysphagia (if not 2 week rule), Dysphonia (if not 2 week rule), Ear Discharge, Earache, Ear Wax, Epistaxis (if not acute), Eustachian Tube Dysfunction, Exostoses of Ear Canal, External Ear Conditions, Facial Pain, Facial plastics, Globus Pharyngeus, Glue Ear, Grommet Problems, Hearing Loss (if not suitable for direct referral hearing aid clinic), Labyrinthitis, Mastoid Cavity, Nasal Blockage, Nasal Deformity, Nasal Polyps, Nasal Trauma (old), Noise-induced Hearing Loss, Non-organic Hearing Loss, Otalgia, Otitis Externa, Otitis Media, Otorrhoea, Otosclerosis, Parotid Disease, Pharyngeal Pouch, Pinna Lesions, Plastic surgical conditions of Head & Neck, Presbycusis (if not direct referral hearing aid clinic), Recurrent Ear Infections, Runny Nose, Rhinoplasty, Rhinorrhoea, Salivary Gland Disease, Septal Deviation, Septal Perforation, Septorhinoplasty, Sinusitis, Skin cancers, Skin lesions, Sleep Apnoea, Snoring, Tinnitus, Tonsillitis, Tonsillar Enlargement, Torn ear lobule, Uvular Conditions, Vertigo, Vestibular Neuronitis.

Procedures performed:

  • Nasal endoscopy, Flexible laryngosopy, Aural micro-suction, Fine needle aspiration cytology, Nasal cautery.
  • ENT neck lumps - conditions treated:
  • Branchial cyst, Cervical lymphadenopathy, Lymph node enlargement (neck), Neck lump, Neck nodes, Parotid gland lump, Submandibular gland lump, Thyroglossal cyst.

Procedures performed:

  • Rigid nasal endoscopy, Flexible laryngosopy,  Fine needle aspiration cytology.

General ENT nurse led - conditions treated:

  • Adenoids, Acoustic Neuroma, Anosmia, Aural Toilette, Catarrh, Cholesteatoma, Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media, Dizziness, Ear Discharge, Earache, Ear Wax, Epistaxis (if not acute), Eustachian Tube Dysfunction, Exostoses of Ear Canal, External Ear Conditions, Facial Pain, Globus Pharyngeus, Glue Ear, Grommet Problems, Hearing Loss (If not suitable for  direct referral hearing aid clinic), Labyrinthitis, Mastoid Cavity, Nasal Blockage, Nasal Deformity, Nasal Polyps, Nasal Trauma (old), Non-organic Hearing Loss, Otalgia, Otitis Externa, Otitis Media, Otorrhoea, Otosclerosis, Presbycusis (if not direct referral hearing aid clinic), Rhinorrhoea, Runny Nose, Septal Deviation, Septal Perforation, Sinusitis, Sleep Apnoea, Snoring, Tonsillitis, Recurrent Ear Infections.

Conditions for referral to Aural Care nurse

Aural care nurse-led - conditions treated:

  • Aural toilette, cholesteatoma, chronic suppurative otitis media, ear discharge, earache, ear wax, grommet problems, mastoid cavity, otitis externa, otitis media, otorrhoea, recurrent ear infections.

Procedures performed:

  • Microsuction aural toilette (direct referral adult audiology)
