Rehabilitation

General introduction

We offer a range of assessment, treatment and advisory services. Patients can be seen:

  • As an inpatient
  • As an outpatient
  • On a day care basis

We also visit patients on an outreach basis - in other hospitals, in residential and nursing homes and at home. Our aim is that all of our services are flexible, responsive and centred on the needs of all our patients. We have specifically developed a system of setting goals with the patient to ensure the most efficient and effective delivery of therapy. This is mainly used for inpatient rehabilitation

What we do

Within our centre, we have a variety of specific clinical services including:

  • Neurological Rehabilitation - to help people with any neurological or neuromuscular condition
  • Prosthetics - to help people who need a prosthetic limb, providing rehabilitation both at the outset and for the rest of that person's life
  • Orthotics - to provide orthoses for anyone who needs it, whatever their underlying condition
  • Wheelchair service- to provide wheelchairs and seating for people with mobility difficulties
  • Rehabilitation Engineering - to provide engineering solution for people with disability
