Upper GI

General introduction

The Upper GI team provides a comprehensive service for the investigations and treatment of benign Upper GI conditions as well as oesophageal and gastric cancer.  

What we do

Therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopy laparoscopic surgery for gallstones, acid reflux, hiatus hernia achalasia. Open radical surgery for oesophageal and gastric cancer.

  • Outpatient clinics are held at the Cumberland Infirmary and West Cumberland Hospital
