How to cancel an appointment

Once you have an Outpatient appointment with us, you will  receive an appointment letter. This will contain details of your first appointment, such as the date, time and where you need to go once you get to the hospital.

What if I can’t attend my appointment?

If you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. It is important to do this because failure to notify us means that we cannot offer the appointment slot to someone else.

There are other ways of cancelling your appointment

If it was made through Choose and Book, you will need to phone the central Choose and Book appointments line on 0845 608 8888 (all calls are charged at local rate).

If your appointment was booked directly with our hospitals, there will be a telephone number on your appointment letter. If you cannot find the letter, please call 0344 776 0003 (local rate) to cancel your appointment.
