In this section you will find information to help you make the most informed choice over where you receive your care.

In a life-threatening or immediate emergency, you must always call 999.

If your care is not an immediate emergency, there are alternatives to receiving care from your local hospital A & E department which can help to ease pressure on our services. You will find details about these services on the headings under this section on the left hand side of this page.

Our vision

Our vision is to become the naturally preferred provider of secondary care for all patients living in north Cumbria. We aim to do this by:

Providing high quality, clinically and financially sustainable services
Developing innovative service models and pathways of care which meet the needs of our diverse rural and urban population
