Wi-Fi access

Banner for Wifi
The Trust has introduced free public WiFi into its hospitals, provided by NHS Digital.

The network is called 'NHS Wi-Fi'. You connect to the network and then you will be asked to log in through your browser (you may need to disable mobile data to register).

Instructions for iPhone and Android

It allows patients and visitors to browse the internet and use their apps. There are some restrictions on what can take place on inpatient wards – video streaming, facetime and video calls etc. but these restrictions are not in place in public areas.

The areas below are listed as having 'good coverage' but as they are inpatient areas they are restricted to internet browsing only.

  • Ward 1
  • Ward 2
  • Paediatrics
  • Delivery suite
  • EAU
  • CCU
  • Beech
  • Maple
  • Larch
  • Aspen
  • Willow
  • Children’s Ward
  • Elm

Public areas are covered by the Wi-Fi but not all areas of the hospitals are currently covered. Our IT department will be increasing the coverage over the next 12 months.

There will be no technical support available from the Trust or NHS Digital but we have produced some quick FAQs
