Keeping our hospitals clean

Cleanliness and Infection Prevention are requirements of the Health Act 2008 and are closely monitored in all NHS organisations by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Cleaning

Our patients should expect their hospital to be kept clean and tidy. Trained staff clean our wards and other areas of the hospital every day using special cleaning products to combat infections. If you have any issues concerning cleaning and the area you visit is not up to standard, please speak to the Sister/ Charge Nurse or Matron and they willcleaning-under-bedrespond quickly.
