Inpatients at the Cumbrian Clinic

On admission, you will be under the care of your Consultant who you saw during your outpatient consultation. This Consultant will look after you for the duration of your stay, visiting on a daily basis. If appropriate, an Anaesthetist will also visit you before and after your operation.

Feel free to ask about any queries or concerns you may have.

Meal arrangements

A variety of meals and drinks are available from our menu. Please mention to staff any special dietary requirements or requests. Your menu selection is requested in advance of meal times to enable kitchen staff to prepare your choice. Meals are served at:

  • 8am - breakfast
  • 12 midday - lunch
  • 6pm - evening meal

Please inform the staff if these times are not suitable.

Keeping in touch

You can make calls for free from the phone at your bedside - dial (9) for an outside line. International calls can be made through the switchboard, at a charge. Please ask a member of staff for assistance.

Your family and friends can call you directly on your bedside phone. The number should be marked on the phone or ask a member of staff.

After your stay

Discharge from the clinic may be made at any time during the day, at the discretion of your Consultant. Information regarding your discharge will be sent to your GP.
